Developing future leaders in academic neurology education

Providing a structured and personalized approach to professional development, the resident clinical educator track equips neurology residents with the essential skills and experiences needed for a successful career in medical education. Through close collaboration with departmental and institutional education leaders, residents engage in a longitudinal curriculum that emphasizes curriculum design, mentorship, feedback delivery and effective teaching strategies. This pathway ensures that graduates emerge as confident, capable educators ready to contribute meaningfully to academic medicine.

Adult

Delivering rapid, expert stroke care, the our center is nationally recognized for its ability to diagnose and treat adult and pediatric stroke patients with precision and speed. As a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, we offer a multidisciplinary approach involving specialists in emergency medicine, radiology, neurosurgery and neurorehabilitation, ensuring seamless care from diagnosis through recovery. With over 15 stroke experts, we manage more than 1,500 stroke admissions, 3,000 telestroke consultations and 200 mechanical thrombectomies annually — helping preserve brain function and improve outcomes.

Cross Lab

Anne Cross, MD

Investigating the immunological processes underlying multiple sclerosis and related neuroinflammatory disorders. The lab focuses on understanding how immune cells interact with the central nervous system, identifying biomarkers of disease activity and developing strategies to prevent or reverse neurodegeneration.
