Cerebral Palsy Family Day

This FREE event welcomes all families of children with CP in the greater St. Louis area.

Our goal is to encourage families to build lifelong connections with each other and to plan for full and long lives for their children with CP.

Dual Programming

Programming for the day is split into two separate tracks, allowing caregivers and young adults with CP to connect and gain resources while children with CP and their siblings enjoy fun activities in the Garden.

Resource Programming

Community partners participating this year:
Special School District of STL (SSD)
Plan for adulthood using Charting the LifeCourse tools.
Access transition-to-adulthood resources.

UMSL SUCCEED
Learn how to prepare for inclusive postsecondary education at every stage.

PLB Family Navigators (Missouri residents only)
Get personalized support navigating services, resources, and future planning from a dedicated family navigator.

Therapeutic Horticulture
Find respite in nature and connect with fellow caregivers through a community-building activity in the Garden.

Panel on “Exploring Identity with CP”
Engage with adults with CP as they reflect on identity, growth, and lived experience.

Garden Programming

Medically trained staff from the CP Center—including physicians, physical and occupational therapists, and nurses—guide children with CP and their siblings through accessible activities in the garden.
Activities include:
Creating and listening to music
Exploring plant life
Playing together
Hands-on activities
