Mission
The Neurology Committee on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (NDEI&B Committee) exists to support, advance, and educate the Department of Neurology faculty, staff and learners on the value of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to reach our goals as a world class academic neurology department.
Vision
The NDEI&B Committee is committed to guiding the Department of Neurology to be a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace by:
- Improving methods and creating synergies that enhance diverse representation in teaching, research and clinical care in partnership with the University’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
- Facilitating and leveraging community- and patient-engaged processes which foster diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging both on and off campus.
- Actively employing fair and inclusive recruitment and retention strategies that improve the diversity and belonging of department faculty, staff, and learners.
- Guiding leadership in the career development of underrepresented and under-resourced faculty, staff and learners in the Department of Neurology.
