Struck joins WashU Medicine Neurology as Epilepsy Section chief

Aaron Struck, MD, associate professor of neurology, has been appointed chief of the Section of Epilepsy at WashU Medicine Neurology. His role takes effect July 1, 2025.

Brian “Keith” Day, MD, PhD, has served as interim chief of the section since September 2024. During Day’s tenure, he demonstrated steady leadership and helped maintain stability and direction for the team. He worked with department and Barnes-Jewish Hospital leadership to increase the number of Epilepsy Monitoring Unit admissions and oversaw the 2024 Epilepsy Symposium. The department is extremely grateful for Day’s contributions and look forward to his continued within the section.

Struck comes to WashU Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was medical director and head of epilepsy and neurophysiology. He also served as the director of the fellowship programs in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology, while directing the EEG lab and his own lab.
