Lora Clark joined the Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in January 2024 as the senior manager of Medical Education Programs. In her role, Clark oversees the coordination of residency and fellowship programs and drives strategic alignment and execution to ensure the highest quality and consistency in the trainee experience. She has over 20 years of experience in the coordination and management of medical education programs.
Clark has a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She went on to obtain a Master’s in Business Administration and a second Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas. She is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army where she served as Aviation Operations Specialist.
Prior to moving to St. Louis, Clark served as the division manager for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. There, she managed the day-to-day operations for the division and clinical operations for clinics across Utah, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. While she enjoyed clinical operations, graduate medical education is her passion.
Clark sees mentorship as a critical means of building successful teams and new leaders. As such, she moderates and leads mentorship workshops in workforce development for a community college in Rochester, New York. She is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, an international organization with a focus of providing scholarships, community service, support of organized charities and upholding high moral standards and personal integrity.
When not at work, Clark enjoys spending time with her family, arts and crafts and is an avid traveler. One of her goals is to visit every state and the seven continents.
