The Department of Neurology congratulates four staff members for being awarded the Neurology Staff Employees of the Quarter for Q2 FY26. The department accepts nominations for three award categories to highlight the dedication and accomplishments of our staff members — clinical, research and administration. This quarter, a team of two was nominated for the administration category.
Clinical Staff Employee of the Quarter
Dallas Pierson
Medical Assistant II
CAM 6

I am pleased to nominate Dallas for this award in recognition of their exceptional dedication and excellence, which consistently reflect our hospital’s core values. Dallas demonstrates a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and quality in her work. She consistently goes above and beyond her responsibilities to ensure patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes, while also supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative care environment. Dallas leads by example through integrity, accountability, and respect, and her dedication has a meaningful impact on both patient experience and team performance. Through her unwavering commitment to excellence and service, Dallas truly embodies the values of our organization and is highly deserving of this recognition.
Research Staff Employee of the Quarter
Karina Skrbec
Clinical Research Coordinator II
DIAN TU-Obs

Karina is a highly productive team member who has been working with the DIAN Observational Study for nearly 4 years. In that time she has supported many international sites, particularly in Central and South America as they have worked on site start-up. Karina is fluent in at least 3 languages, which has been particularly helpful in communicating with our Spanish and Portuguese speaking site PIs and personnel. Karina always puts in maximum effort and has recently demonstrated her commitment to the research and participants by supporting participants, especially a fearful participant who traveled from London to the US for critical research procedures by meeting them at the airport and helping them navigate the study visit.
Administration Staff Employee of the Quarter
Lorraine Edrington & Stephanie Faerber
Adult Neurology Residency Program Administration

I am nominating Lorraine Edrington and Stephanie Faerber as a team for their truly exceptional commitment, collaborative spirit, and reliability demonstrated during the critical high-stakes recruitment season for the Adult Residency Program. Together, they expertly managed the demanding logistics required to successfully interview approximately 120 highly qualified applicants this season. Their combined efforts during a recent, intense interview week—one of eight such weeks—highlighted their shared dedication to program continuity and success, even when facing significant, unexpected personal challenges.
