The Department of Neurology congratulates former Neurology Research Lab Manager Cynthia Hodge for being awarded the Neurology Staff Employee of the Quarter for Q4 FY23.
Hodge was nominated by faculty and staff because of her hard work and dedication to her role and the people she manages. Those who nominated her, in particular, highlighted how she looks out for those she works with and always makes sure others needs are met. The Bateman lab saw great improvements under her leadership, including the establishment of the Tracy Family Stable Isotope Labeling Quantitation (SILQ) Center.
She excels at interactions with all kinds of personalities, is highly organized and motivating, tackles complex challenges with thoughtful and expert management, and has the big picture in mind. She has greatly helped the lab by improving working conditions such that scientific discoveries are coming at a faster pace with greater creativity and motivation.
Hodge and the dozens of nominees were recognized at Neurology Staff Grand Rounds in July 2023. There was a huge response to the call for nominations for the Neurology Staff Employee of the Quarter.
