WashU Medicine Neurology is proud to announce four members of our department have been honored with 2026 Distinguished Service Teaching Awards.

  • Salim Chahin, MD, MSCE — Clinical Educator of the Year (Attending) Award
  • Jared Garland, MD — Clinical Educator of the Year (Resident) Award
  • Michael Petrany, MD, PhD — Clinical Care (Resident) Award
  • Allyson Zazulia, MD — Distinguished Service Teaching Awards for Creativity Award

Medical students present the Distinguished Service Teaching Awards to faculty and house staff in appreciation for exemplary service in medical student education.

All selected teaching faculty and staff will be formally recognized by medical school students and administration at the annual Distinguished Service Teaching Awards Ceremony on Monday, March 30, 2026.
