Sarah Bauer Huang, MD, PhD, has been appointed section head of Neonatal Neurology, effective July 1, 2025. Chris Smyser, MD, will step down from this position to focus on his role as the associate director of the Division of Pediatric and Developmental Neurology.
Bauer Huang is an associate professor who has been a faculty member at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis since 2018 and will continue to serve as the director of the Baker Family Fellowship in Neonatal Neurology and the neurology director of the Autism Clinical Center and Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Clinic. Bauer Huang will step down from her position as associate program director of the Pediatric Neurology Residency Program with this transition.
