Fostering connection and empowerment within the CP community

We aren’t just aiming for universal access – we want universal thinking. It’s important that caregivers start visualizing how their role can shift to supporter so their child can become as independent as possible. Ultimately, we hope caregivers see that their child’s independence is a really a kind of interdependence.

CP Family Day is a yearly event for families seen at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Cerebral Palsy Clinic and Mobility Center. The event is co-planned with individuals who have CP and aims to further strengthen the CP community in the St. Louis area.

The event is driven by community partners from various disciplines with a common purpose: to help people with CP reach their mobility and functional goals. CP Family Day provides space for caregivers to learn about available community supports and share their experiences while their children enjoy the beautiful and accessible garden!
